AC Milan Target Celta Vigo Defender Javi Rodriguez to Reinforce Struggling Squad

AC Milan's start to the season has fallen short of expectations, with the Rossoneri struggling to find consistency in both Serie A and the Europa League despite significant summer spending. Eager to address squad imbalances during the winter transfer window following recent disappointments—such as their European outing against Ferencvaros—Milan are actively scouting for a central defender. According to TeamTalk, the San Siro outfit are closely monitoring 23-year-old Spanish defender Javi Rodriguez of Celta Vigo.

Rodriguez has established himself as one of La Liga's standout center-backs, registering three goals in 10 appearances this term under Claudio Giraldes. Valued at €40 million, the youngster has already drawn strong interest from Paris Saint-Germain and several Premier League clubs as a fierce battle for his signature brews.
