Chelsea Target Riccardo Calafiori to Rival Real Madrid in Transfer Race

Following a challenging start to the season under Xabi Alonso, Chelsea are already looking ahead to the upcoming transfer windows to fine-tune their squad. According to journalist Simon Phillips, the Blues have set their sights on Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori, who is capable of playing as both a central defender and a left-back.

While the Italian international has established himself as a key player for Mikel Arteta, he has recently caught the attention of Real Madrid ahead of a potential 2027 move. Chelsea's emergence in the race sets up a direct battle with the Spanish giants as Stamford Bridge officials weigh up an ambitious move for the versatile defender as early as January.
