Algerian defender Ramy Bensebaini continues to play a key role under Niko Kovac, featuring in the starting lineup for Borussia Dortmund's narrow 1-0 Bundesliga victory over Eintracht Frankfurt. Despite making six appearances this season, the 31-year-old's long-term future at the club remains far from guaranteed.

According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Dortmund have yet to initiate talks over extending his contract, which is set to expire on June 30, 2027. Furthermore, the North African defender has expressed a willingness to explore options outside of the Signal Iduna Park. Since arriving from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2023, Bensebaini has amassed 112 official appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists. Given his versatility as both a center-back and left-back, his experience, and his peak years ahead, he is expected to generate significant market interest.
