Fiorentina Target River Plate Goalkeeper Santiago Beltran as Long-Term Successor to David de Gea
Serie A outfit Fiorentina are beginning to plan for the future in goal as they seek a long-term replacement for 35-year-old David de Gea. Although the Spanish veteran's contract with the Viola runs until June 2028, the club's management has already initiated the search for his successor.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, 22-year-old River Plate goalkeeper Santiago Beltran has emerged as a top target for the Italian club. Following a stellar rise into River Plate's first team (43 appearances) and his recent debut for the Argentina national team, the young shot-stopper has commanded wide interest across Europe. Valued at around €20 million, Beltran is also being closely monitored by Manchester United and Inter Milan.
