Andrea Berta Warned Against Selling Viktor Gyokeres in January Amid Arsenal Exit Rumours

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has been warned against sanctioning a January exit for striker Viktor Gyokeres, despite lingering uncertainty over the 28-year-old's fit in Mikel Arteta's tactical setup. Although Gyokeres has struggled to secure a regular starting spot in the Premier League behind Kai Havertz—managing only one league start this term—he recently delivered a standout performance with a goal and an assist against Slavia Prague in the Champions League.

Amid speculation linking the former Sporting forward with a move to struggling Manchester United, former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere told Metro why selling the player mid-season would be a major mistake. Aliadiere emphasized that unless Arsenal can secure an immediate, high-quality replacement, letting Gyokeres go is too great a risk given Havertz's history of injuries. Leaving the squad without a proven alternative up front during the winter window could severely compromise the club's ambitions.
