Chelsea Prepare Major Midfield Overhaul with Multiple Summer Targets in Mind

Chelsea's failure to fully secure their midfield during the summer, compounded by Enzo Fernandez's late departure and Monaco pulling the plug on Lamine Camara's move, has left Xabi Alonso short of options. Bournemouth's Alex Scott remains the primary objective for the Blues' sporting management, though securing his signature will require a massive investment of around 100 million euros.

Alongside Scott, Chelsea are monitoring several alternative profiles for the engine room with moves likely materializing further down the line. Their shortlist features Harrison Armstrong from Everton, Lewis Miley from Newcastle United, Josh King from Fulham, and Myles Lewis-Skelly from Arsenal, as high valuations and club stances make immediate winter deals complicated.
