Barcelona Renew Interest in Inter Milan Defender Alessandro Bastoni Amid Defensive Crisis

Strengthening the defensive line is crucial for Barcelona as the Spanish champions navigate major roster issues caused by persistent injuries throughout the season. Sporting director Deco has reignited efforts to sign 27-year-old central defender Alessandro Bastoni, whose contract with Inter Milan runs until 2028. The Italian star could potentially form a highly competitive partnership alongside Pau Cubarsi at Camp Nou.

However, prising Bastoni away will not be straightforward. According to TEAMtalk, two Premier League giants—Chelsea and Liverpool—are closely monitoring the defender and are prepared to step up their pursuit, setting the stage for a major transfer battle between England and Spain.
