22-year-old Argentine central defender Lautaro Rivero of River Plate has emerged on Atletico Madrid's radar as a long-term prospect. Although the defender has experienced a temporary spell out of the starting lineup in recent weeks, he is already part of the Argentina national team setup and remains tied to his club until December 2029.

Following previous links with Real Sociedad, Premier League clubs have now entered the race for his signature. According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Brighton are among the English sides closely tracking the defender, whom they have scouted for some time. Reports indicate that River Plate have set a valuation of 10 million euros for the center-back, with at least 8 million euros structured as guaranteed payments.
