Massimiliano Allegri Requests Winter Reinforcements Amid Tough Start at Napoli

Massimiliano Allegri's tenure at Napoli has gotten off to a challenging start, with the team sitting 10th in Serie A following three wins, one draw, and three defeats. Their Champions League campaign is similarly precarious, with the club managing just three points so far. Recognizing the roster's current limitations, the Italian manager has made it clear that squad depth must be addressed in January.

According to transfer insider Nicolo Schira, Allegri has formally requested two specific additions: a new central midfielder and a striker. Forward Gustavo Varela and Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall have emerged as top targets. Securing either player will require substantial financial investment, but the Napoli hierarchy considers winter reinforcements essential to turn their season around.
